Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your access to futurelab.ventures and its related pages. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this site is—and is not
This site introduces FutureLab’s ventures, projects, ideas, publications and opportunities to collaborate. Content is provided for general informational purposes. It is not legal, financial, tax, medical, engineering or other professional advice; it is not an offer to sell securities or a solicitation to invest; and it does not create a partnership, client, fiduciary or employment relationship.
Descriptions of ventures, pilots, goals, projections and potential benefits are forward-looking and may change. Results are not guaranteed. Any formal relationship with FutureLab will be governed by a separate written agreement.
Our content and brands
Unless stated otherwise, FutureLab or its licensors own the site’s text, graphics, logos, images, designs, software and other content. FutureLab, PHYSIA, Nureon, SenseMaker, AgentSPIN and APEX names and marks may be protected by trademark and other laws.
You may view the site and share links for lawful, personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy substantial content, remove notices, imply our endorsement, use our marks in a confusing way, train a commercial model on the site’s content, or republish or exploit the content without prior written permission.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site. In particular, do not attempt to bypass security, access private administration areas, disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, scrape at unreasonable scale, impersonate another person, infringe rights, or use the site for unlawful, deceptive or abusive activity.
What you send us
You remain responsible for information you submit and confirm that you have the right to provide it. Do not send trade secrets or other confidential information unless we have agreed in writing to receive it confidentially. An unsolicited submission does not create a confidential, fiduciary or client relationship.
If you voluntarily send feedback or suggestions about the public site or our offerings, you allow us to consider and use that feedback without payment or obligation, unless we agree otherwise in writing. This does not transfer ownership of your separate documents, inventions or other intellectual property.
Third-party links
The site links to third-party websites, publications and services. We provide those links for convenience and context. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Their own terms apply.
No warranties
We work to keep the site useful and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free, secure or current.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, FutureLab and its directors, team members, affiliates and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities or goodwill, arising from use of—or inability to use—the site. Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us specifically to use this public site during the prior 12 months.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Responsibility for misuse
If your unlawful use of the site or violation of these terms causes a third-party claim against FutureLab, you agree to reimburse FutureLab for reasonable losses and costs resulting from that claim, to the extent permitted by law.
California law
California law governs these terms and any dispute relating to the site, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court proceeding must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in California, unless applicable law requires a different forum. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Changes, severability and contact
We may update these terms as the site evolves. Changes apply when posted, and the date above will be revised. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms are the entire agreement about use of this public site, except where a separate written agreement applies.
