Who this policy covers
This policy explains how FutureLab (“FutureLab,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles personal information through futurelab.ventures and its related pages. It does not cover a venture’s separate product, service or website if that service publishes its own policy.
Information you choose to give us
When you contact us, request information, join a pilot or use an intake form, we may collect your name, email address, organization, area of interest, referral source and message.
Some forms ask for additional context so we can respond intelligently. Examples include your team type and goals for APEX; your business or personal income goal and current blocker for SenseMaker; or your role and question about PHYSIA, Nureon or AgentSPIN. Please do not submit sensitive personal information that we have not requested.
Information created when you visit
Our hosting, security and infrastructure providers may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, pages requested, timestamps and diagnostic or security logs. We may also use cookies or similar technology when needed for security, administration or essential site functions. We do not currently use this site to sell personal information or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we use information
- Respond to questions and requests.
- Evaluate potential partnerships, pilots, investments, media inquiries and other opportunities.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the site and our communications.
- Maintain appropriate business records and comply with legal obligations.
- Send updates only when you request them or otherwise permit us to do so.
When we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers that host, secure or support our site and communications; professional advisers working under duties of confidentiality; parties involved in a financing, reorganization or transfer of all or part of our business; or government authorities when disclosure is legally required. We may also disclose information when you direct or authorize us to do so.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including follow-up, legitimate business records, security and legal obligations. Retention can vary with the nature of the inquiry and our relationship with you. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Your choices and California privacy rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete information you submitted, or to stop using it for optional communications. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, when that law applies—including rights to know, delete and correct personal information and to be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
To make a request, email breakthrough@futurelab.ventures with the subject “Privacy request.” Tell us what you are asking us to do and which email address or interaction the request concerns. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when an exception permits or requires it.
Security and children
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. No internet system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. This site is intended for business and general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Visitors outside the United States
FutureLab and its providers may process information in the United States or other places where they operate. Privacy rules may differ from those in your home country. Where applicable law requires additional protections, we will apply them.
