Thailand’s National AI Roadmap is designed to turn AI adoption into tangible gains for businesses, workers and the wider economy. Developed with support from the Asian Productivity Organization, the roadmap places productivity at the center of national transformation—connecting ambition to improvements people and industries can actually experience.
The roadmap’s benefits include higher industrial output, more efficient use of resources, stronger workforce capabilities and sustainable upgrading across priority sectors. It also helps institutions coordinate investment and action, giving Thailand a clearer path to strengthen competitiveness while building trust and ensuring that the value created by AI is broadly shared.
FutureLab served as lead author through an in-depth, multi-month engagement. The work combined extensive research, stakeholder dialogue, international benchmarking and strategic synthesis to translate Thailand’s ambitions into a practical national direction. Rather than producing a generic technology plan, FutureLab helped frame AI as an engine of sustainable productivity—connecting policy, industry priorities, workforce development, governance and measurable outcomes.
